The Friends of Davis County Children’s Justice Center is a dedicated group of individuals passionately committed to supporting the Davis County Children’s Justice Center. We work tirelessly to provide a warm and safe environment for children who are victims of sexual and physical abuse.

At the Justice Center, professionally trained Forensic Interviewers conduct interviews with these young survivors in a trauma-informed way. The goal is to ensure that these children only have to recount their traumatic experiences once, as their statements are crucial in building cases against the perpetrators of these heinous crimes.

The Friends board supports the Justice Center by raising funds to facilitate a welcoming and secure environment for these children. We provide therapeutic resources such as the fish tank, which has been proven to have a calming effect on those who have experienced trauma. Additionally, we offer extra care for families in need, whether for groceries, gas, or additional therapy for secondary victims within the family.

We understand that the road to healing is long and challenging, so we also provide extended therapy for those who require more than what is covered by county services or insurance. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to heal and thrive in a supportive environment, and we are dedicated to making that a reality for the children we serve.
